Moab Spring 2001 mountain biking and hiking pictures

I'd ridden Moab Rim, Amassa Back, Lockhart Basin, Jughandle Arch Loop, Poison Spider and the Portal trail but never Pritchett Canyon. So, I chose to use my one day of solo riding to explore this new trail. Also I could ride from my camp at King's Bottom (more on that later) and it seemed to fit the bill of a relatively safe solo ride. My criteria was that at least the searchers shouldn't have to look hard to find the body. Heh.
This is my trusty 1993 Cannondale Delta V 1500 aimed up the cobbled, often sandy Pritchett Canyon road. Slickrock domes beckon in the distance. |
