King's Bottom Camp

I've always camped out on BLM (Bureau of Land Management) land on my Moab trips but this time we tried two other spots--Sand Flats and King's Bottom. As you might expect, Sand Flats was loud, dusty and crowded. (But it was social.) King's Bottom is along the Kane Creek road near the Moab Rim trailhead. There are only about seven camp sites, but they are great if you can get one. The sites on the north side of the area are right next to the Colorado River and all of the sites have good tree cover. Not sure how bad the bugs might be in the spring and summer but it was a great spot for the fall.
